November 2021 marked the first time that the New Apostolic Church India had initiated an art competition for the 2022 Motto “Together in Christ”. The competition was open to submissions from India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka from individuals up to the age of 25 years.
There were 108 participants who submitted total 126 artworks: 91 from India, 28 from Bangladesh and 7 from Sri Lanka. All of them received personalized certificates of participation.

Among all the submissions were ten which stood out with their interpretation of the motto “Together in Christ”. The artists of these ten artworks got the opportunity to spend personal time with an Apostle of their choice.

First Three Winners

Our first Winner was Saloni Sutar (16 years) from Chembur Camp / Mumbai. She received educational assistance up to INR 10,000/- which helped her secure first-class marks in STD 10th. Now she is perusing her higher secondary education studies in the science stream.

The Runner-Up was Praisy Komalwar (18 years) from Ghugus / Chandrapur. She received educational assistance up to INR 5,000/- and scored first class marks in her first year. Now she is perusing her degree of B.Sc. Computer Science in 2nd year.

Our Third Place Winner was Kristina Annapareddy (22 years) from Nagpur who received educational assistance up to INR 3,000/-. She completed her education in Master of Computer Management in 2022 with first division. To acquire more knowledge and skills in the stream of computer programming, she will be applying for a professional course in coding and the computer language Python.

All ten winners were entitled to spending personal time with an Apostle of their choice. Kristina chose Apostle Sanjay Shastri and the two were able to spend time together in Nagpur on 7 October 2022.

Quality Time with Apostles in Hyderabad

On Tuesday 25th October 2022, three winners from Odisha and Hyderabad were invited to spend a day with the Apostles Pravin Gajbhiv and Prabhakar Beergi at Golkonda Fort in Hyderabad. B.N. Santosh and B.N. Sahara from Hyderabad wanted to spend time with Apostle Pravin, while Suraj Nanda came all the way from Amath in Odisha to spend a day with his favorite Apostle Prabhakar.

The group were accompanied and guided by local ministers of Hyderabad and spent a very fruitful day in and around the Golkonda Fort.

Tour of Mumbai with Apostle Pravin

On Saturday 5th November 2022, Apostle Pravin met four winners for a Mumbai Darshan trip: Saloni Sutar and Joison Magar from Mumbai, Priyanka and Riya Vairagar from Nashik. All of them gathered at CSTM in the morning, for a full day’s journey through the city.

The Mumbai City Tour is like a touch and go city tour for the main highlights of the city. It is obvious one cannot view all the great places that Mumbai has to offer in such a short time as one day. However, our young participants had a wonderful time and fellowship with their favourite Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv. He was able to spend quality time with them, listening to and sharing experiences of faith.

For Praisy Komalwar from Ghugus and Jaswin Rachelson from Delhi it has not yet been possible to meet the Apostle of their choice, but they are not forgotten and will get their opportunity for a meeting soon.
